# Voxel Model Inspector > Inspect a native voxel model and export its surface mesh. Validate an editable Renderloom voxel project, count occupied cells and exposed faces, and download its SVG preview and OBJ/MTL surface mesh and a single-model VOX file. Part of usefulweb.site (https://usefulweb.site/). Results are deterministic calculations from the inputs and the listed assumptions; the API returns exactly what the web page shows. ## Use it - Human interface: https://renderloomvoxelinspector.usefulweb.site/ (interactive tool at https://renderloomvoxelinspector.usefulweb.site/tool) - JSON API: POST https://renderloomvoxelinspector.usefulweb.site/api/v1/calculate with a JSON object of inputs (schema: https://renderloomvoxelinspector.usefulweb.site/api/v1/tool) - OpenAPI: https://renderloomvoxelinspector.usefulweb.site/openapi.json - MCP (Streamable HTTP): https://renderloomvoxelinspector.usefulweb.site/mcp - tool `renderloom_voxel_inspector` ## Inputs - project (textarea): Renderloom voxel project JSON ## Method - A voxel occupies one integer grid cell; X and Y span each row and Z is the vertical axis. The preview is a transparent orthographic isometric illustration with fixed face shading. - The model supports dimensions of 1–64 cells per axis, up to 32,768 occupied cells and up to 64 opaque palette colors. - The VOX export is a single-model VOX 150 file with opaque palette colors. The OBJ mesh contains outward-facing quads only where a voxel has no occupied neighbor. It uses palette-based MTL diffuse colors; it does not include textures, animation or physically based material properties. ## Limits - Only Renderloom voxel JSON is supported. This inspector does not import MagicaVoxel VOX files or execute external assets.
